Sarah E. Marshall, M.S., LMFT

     Thank you for stopping by to learn a little more about me! Research has shown that the relationship you build with your therapist is one of the most significant indicators of change. It may be labor intensive to have to meet with a few, but I highly recommend it in order to find the individual who is the perfect fit for you. I will challenge you and help you attack issues head on, but I also will lean in to the hard stuff with you, support you, and help guide you along the way to see yourself in the truest light so we can make the necessary changes to bring you to your most secure and fulfilled self!

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with experience assisting:

  • Adolescents -- behavioral, impulse control, relationship, adjustment, and educational challenges;

  • Couples -- communication skill building, conflict-resolution, trust building and pre-marital preparations among many other challenges;

  • Individuals -- self-esteem, anxiety, depression and various other phase of life difficulties;

  • Families -- parenting, structural and relational challenges, boundary setting and increasing positive family interactions.

     The most important aspect of who I am is grounded in my Catholic faith. I am passionate about my love for Christ and am always overjoyed to be given the opportunity to walk along my brothers and sisters as they work through challenges and obstacles with the Lord at their side. I am a Counselor who is Christian, having received secular education and training as a Marriage and Family Therapist and am not a Christian Counselor with theological education, which may be an important distinction. Please let me know if faith and Jesus are elements of your healing and I am happy to incorporate that into our work together.

     I am also a mom of three amazing little girls and happily married to my high school sweetheart. I love being outdoors - road biking and hiking are my favorite activities- and my introvert self really enjoys decompressing at home, studying scripture or relaxing with my family. I am passionate about helping people find meaning and satisfaction in themselves and their relationships. I believe the balance between self care and selflessness is a delicate one, but finding that sweet spot that works for ones self brings joy and purpose to life!

     I concentrate most of my work with women's issues and am skilled in addressing challenges such as: couple communication, structural family challenges, anxiety, anger management, trauma and infidelity in relationships. I aim to be open,  easy to talk to, and I find it important to empower my clients and hope to accomplish my goal of helping them find the tools they need to manage their current challenges and future issues independently. I provide support, at home practice, and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate therapeutic interventions and techniques to offer a personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
